Under the tutelage of second-year head coach Henry Nguyen, Desert finished the regular season with a record of 12-14 overall and 6-8 in conference. The Roadrunners placed 5th in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC).

The College of the Desert Women’s Basketball team (5–5) hit the road for a two-and-a-half-hour trip to San Diego City College over the weekend, returning from the Knights Invitational with two victories in three games. COD faced the San Diego City Knights, Southwestern Jaguars, and Imperial Valley Desert Warriors in the three-day tournament.
College of the Desert Women’s Basketball (3–4) put together one of their strongest team performances of the season, with four starters scoring in double figures, as the Roadrunners pulled away late to defeat the Southwestern Jaguars of Chula Vista (3–4), 81–68, securing their first home victory of the year.
The College of the Desert Women’s Basketball team (2-2) evened their season record after a three-game showing at the Cougars Crossover Tournament, hosted by the Los Angeles Southwest Cougars in West Adams.
COD (5-15; 3-7) tied their best record in 5 years, but the victory celebration was dampened as they lost a player due to injury with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, but still managed to hold on, as the Roadrunners pushed past the hapless Barstow Vikings (1-21; 0-10), 65-46.
COD (4-15; 2-7) had 3 starters in double figures, as the Roadrunners busted up a 6-game losing streak and avenged and earlier season loss by knocking off the Copper Mountain Fighting Cacti of Joshua Tree (12-9; 4-5), 54-53.
COD (3-9; 1-1) grabbed their first IEAC win since 2022 as they won on the road, knocking off the Barstow Vikings (1-13; 0-2), 76-49.
COD (2-9) had to wait 50 days for a home game and it was worth it as the Roadrunners dominated from beginning to end in a lopsided win over the Compton Tartars (1-12), 74-42.
COD (1-8) fought hard at the Victor Valley Crossover, but the Roadrunners had to play the final 7:16 against LA Mission and the final 3:38 against Antelope Valley with only 4 players, falling in both contests.
COD (1-6) had a 3rd straight 20+ point performance out of Audrey Tijerina, but the Roadrunners had a difficult 3rd quarter and fell on the road at the College of the Canyons Cougars of Santa Clarita (3-6), 78-50.
COD (1-0) grabbed their first win since December of 2022 and grabbed their first win with 100 or more points since February of 1999, as the Roadrunners won on the road, knocking off the Los Angeles Harbor Seahawks of Wilmington (0-1), 100-61.
