COD Women’s Volleyball Sweeps El Camino
The College of the Desert Women’s Volleyball team (11–4) continued its dominant run, securing its third straight sweep — and seventh of the season — with a decisive 3–0 victory over the El Camino Warriors (5–8) of Torrance. Set scores were 25–19, 25–18, 25–22.

Even though both of these teams faced off in a tournament earlier in the season, this matchup marked the first head-to-head meeting in program history between the Roadrunners and Warriors, and COD made a strong statement in the inaugural showdown.
Match Leaders
* Juliette Rothe (Fr., Setter – Palm Desert Xavier College Prep) controlled the offense with 28 assists and added 3 service aces.
* Isabella Rosales (Fr., Defensive Specialist) anchored the back row with 8 digs.
* Leslie Delgado (Fr., Outside Hitter – Thermal Coachella Valley) delivered a well-rounded performance with 8 kills, 9 digs, and 1 block assist.
* Jackie Leon (Fr., Middle Blocker – La Quinta H.S.) added 3 kills in the middle.
* Clairie Thomas (So., Outside Hitter – La Quinta H.S.) led the charge with a team-high 15 kills, 16 digs, and a solo block.
* Madyson Duran (So., Middle Blocker – Rancho Mirage H.S.) chipped in 3 kills and 1 block assist.
With momentum building and chemistry clicking across all rotations, the Roadrunners continue to establish themselves as one of the most consistent squads in the region.
The Roadrunners have the next 4 games on the road over the next 26 days, returning home on October 22 at 5 p.m. to host the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines.
