The Roadrunners rise comes on the heels of several statement victories, including their first-ever win over Moorpark (#14), their first win over Citrus since 1991, and program-first matchups, and victories, against El Camino and LA Harbor. Even in a pair of narrow losses to #6 LA Mission, the Roadrunners proved they can compete with the state's elite.
"This group has already made history multiple times this season," said Head Coach Detlev Rothe. "The confidence and energy they're bringing every match has really set the tone for where this program is headed."
COD will look to keep building momentum when they host the Imperial Valley Desert Warriors on Wednesday, September 3 at 5 p.m. inside the Roadrunner gym. After that, Desert heads on the road for seven straight matches before returning home to face El Camino on Friday, September 26 at 5 p.m.
