COD Women’s Volleyball has a hard time catching the Comets, 3-0

COD (5-9; 1-2) put together a few solid runs throughout the match, taking leads in all three sets, but in the end the San Marcos Palomar Comets (5-11; 2-1) would prove too much for the Roadrunners, 26-24, 25-21 and 28-26.

Sophomore outside hitter Savannah Sharp (Palm Desert H.S.) led the team with 12 kills, led the team with 3 service aces and 7 digs and sophomore libero Kaylie Edgar (Palm Springs H.S.) led the team with 22 digs, had 2 assists and a service ace. 

Sophomore setter Angelica Sayo (Palm Desert Xavier College Prep) led the team with 25 assists, had 3 kills and 2 solo blocks and sophomore middle blocker Hannah LaLiberte (La Quinta H.S.) led the team with 4 solo blocks.

Sophomore outside hitter Alyssa Cazares (Indio Shadow Hills) had 7 kills.

The next home game for COD is when they continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play hosting Mt. San Jacinto, on Tuesday, November 8, game starts at 5 p.m.
