COD Women’s Volleyball takes #5 team in CA to the limit, falling 3-1
COD (4-8; 0-1) opened up Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play for the first time ever against one of the toughest teams in the state, the Oceanside MiraCosta Spartans (17-2; 2-0), falling in four sets, 25-23, 23-25, 25-20 and 25-16.

Sophomore outside hitter Alyssa Cazares (Indio Shadow Hills) led the team with 9 kills, had 2 service aces and had 13 digs and sophomore setter Angelica Sayo (Palm Desert Xavier College Prep) led the team with 26 assists and had 10 digs.
Sophomore outside hitter Savannah Sharp (Palm Desert H.S.) had 7 kills and 2 service aces and sophomore middle blocker Hannah LaLiberte (La Quinta H.S.) had 6 kills and 2 service aces.
Sophomore libero Kaylie Edgar (Palm Springs H.S.) led the team with 24 digs and freshman middle blocker Marisol Ruiz (Thermal Desert Mirage) led the team with 4 solo blocks.
Freshman outside hitter London Felder (Alta Loma H.S.) had 2 service aces.
The next home game for COD is when they host San Bernardino Valley, on Friday, October 14, game starts at 5 p.m.
