Women's Volleyball Comes Up Short Despite Valiant Effort

Freshman Savannah Sharp (Palm Desert, CA/Palm Desert HS) continued her strong play for the Lady Roadrunner attack, as her 14 kills marked the third consecutive match she recorded in double-figures. Sophomore Alyssa Cazares (Indio, CA/Shadow Hills HS) was also in double-digits in kills for the third straight match, as she recorded 13 to go along with six digs.
Sophomore Maygan Zink (Palm Springs, CA/Palm Springs HS) again served as a versatile piece for COD, recording 37 assists, 10 digs and five service aces. Freshman Kaylie Edgar (Palm Springs, CA/Palm Springs HS) added 37 digs and one assist.
College of the Desert (9-11, 6-3) will wrap up its schedule this Friday evening with a 5:30 p.m. home match against Rio Hondo.
