Women's Volleyball Improves to 2-0 in Conference Play Following Sweep
PALM DESERT, Calif. - College of the Desert women's volleyball improved to 2-0 in Foothill Conference play, as they swept visiting San Bernardino Valley 3-0 (26-24, 25-20, 25-19) on Friday evening in Palm Desert.

Sophomore Alyssa Cazares (Indio, CA/Shadow Hills HS) led the attack with 15 kills, while also accumulating 10 digs. Freshman Savannah Sharp (Palm Desert, CA/Palm Desert HS) drilled 10 kills and had five digs, while freshman Angelica Sayo (Palm Desert, CA/Xavier College Prep HS) landed eight kills and three service aces.
Sophomore Maygan Zink (Palm Springs, CA/Palm Springs HS) aided in the attack by delivering 34 assists, while freshman Kaylie Edgar (Palm Springs, CA/Palm Springs HS) was strong defensively with 15 digs.
College of the Desert (5-8, 2-0) returns home next Wednesday, October 14 for a 5:30 p.m. Foothill Conference match against Victory Valley.
