COD Women's Golf rolls into sixth event on PCAC calendar at Crafton Hills

COD Women's Golf freshman Li Chi Liu (Palm Desert H.S.) won her fifth event in six matches as the Roadrunners sent six participants to its sixth Pacific Coast Athletic Conference event, hosted at Crafton Hills at the par-72 Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon in Beaumont.

All five PCAC schools participated in the tournament, which was won by Cuyamaca College.

Liu had another impressive outing as she not only won the individual portion of the match, but shot a two over 74 besting her nearest opponent by two strokes and building momentum going into the PCAC Finals beginning on Halloween.

Sophomore Kabrea Rosas (La Quinta H.S.) shot an impressive 79, finishing 4th and leading Roadrunners Women's Golf head coach Gary Sabella to comment, "Liu led the tournament shooting a two over par 74 on a tough golf course and Rosas shot a 79 which was also a good score."

Sophomore Dominique Healey (Murrieta Mesa) shot a 98 and freshman Rhiannon Celaya (Palm Desert Xavier College Prep) was right behind, shooting a 100. Shooting a 107 was freshman Jessica Garday (Palm Desert H.S.) and freshman Alexa Perez (Indio Shadow Hills) shot a 121 to wrap up the afternoon for the Roadrunners.

COD will make their next appearance at Sun Lakes Country Club in Banning on Monday, October 17 as they continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play at a neutral location.
