Women's Golf: Fumika Matsumoto Takes Third in CCCAA Championship

MORRO BAY, Calif. - College of the Desert women's golf sophomore Fumika Matsumoto (Japan/Chiba-Ketzai) placed third in the 2015 CCCAA Women's Golf Championship with a final score of 155.

She shot a round-low 75 on the event's first day, before finishing the two-day tournament with an 80 in the second round.  Her total of 155 placed her just four strokes behind the top finisher.

For her efforts, Matsumoto has been named to the All-State Team for women's golf.
