Women's Golf Places Second in Orange Empire Match

PALM DESERT, Calif. - College of the Desert women's golf earned a second-place finish out of nine teams competing yesterday afternoon at their Orange Empire Conference (OEC) match in Palm Desert.  

The Lady Roadrunners shot 340 as a team, finishing just behind Mt. San Antonio's 336.  Fumika Matsumoto shot a 77 to lead COD, while Kabrea Rosas added a score of 81.  

Following the match's results, College of the Desert is currently tied for first place in the Orange Empire Conference.   They will return to the course Wednesday, September 16 for an 11:30 a.m. OEC match in Irvine.
