2026 Season in Review – COD Softball
Under fourth-year head coach Kelli Finan, the College of the Desert Roadrunners softball team finished the 2026 season with an 11–17 overall record and a 5–10 mark in Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) play, placing fifth in the conference.
Under fourth-year head coach Kelli Finan, the College of the Desert Roadrunners softball team finished the 2026 season with an 11–17 overall record and a 5–10 mark in Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) play, placing fifth in the conference. The Roadrunners were recognized with three All-Conference selections, highlighted by First Team honoree Nevaeh Walls, Second Team selection Tatiana Salinas, and Honorable Mention recipient Jenna Bell.

Despite a challenging season, the Roadrunners achieved several notable milestones, including historic road wins at LA Harbor, the first in program history, and a victory over Santa Ana, marking the program's first win against the Dons since 2020. COD also faced Barstow for the first time since 2022 following the program's recent return from a four-year hiatus, and competed against Folsom Lake for the first time in program history.
All-Conference Honors
Nevaeh Walls (Catcher/INF, Shadow Hills H.S. – Indio) was named First Team All-IEAC. The 5-foot-5 freshman made an immediate impact offensively, recording seven multi-hit games, including three three-hit performances and five multi-RBI outings. Her standout performance came on March 20 at Barstow, where she went 3-for-5 with a double and a home run, driving in a career-high seven RBIs while scoring three runs in a commanding Roadrunner victory.
Tatiana Salinas (RHP/3B, Rancho Mirage H.S.) earned Second Team All-IEAC honors while contributing both in the circle and at the plate. The 5-foot-3 sophomore appeared in 17 games as a pitcher, making 11 starts, and also delivered offensively with eight multi-hit games, including three three-hit performances and five multi-RBI games. Her top outing came in the second game of a doubleheader against Victor Valley on April 17, when she went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored, matching career highs in hits and RBIs while helping lead a 15–1 victory.
Jenna Bell (Catcher/INF, La Quinta H.S.) received Honorable Mention All-IEAC recognition after a strong freshman campaign. The 5-foot-10 standout recorded eight multi-hit games, including four three-hit performances and three multi-RBI outings. Her best game came on March 20 at Barstow, when she went 4-for-5 with a double and scored a career-high three runs in a decisive Roadrunner win.
