COD Men’s Tennis sweeps the Arabs, 9-0

COD (3-4; 3-3) rolled through Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play with a demolition of the Imperial Valley Arabs, 9-0.

Freshman Joao Luiz Zillo Prado (São Paulo, Brazil) continued his unbeaten streak in Conference play, a record that stands at 6-0 as he won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1.

Freshman Dimitrije Vukovic (Vancouver (BC) Morscrop Secondary) and freshman Jakob Dvorken (Ridgewood, NJ) continued to dominate doubles as they held off a late rally by the Arabs, grabbing an 8-6 win. The Desert #3 Doubles team of Prado and freshman Eleazar Vazquez-Celes (Indio H.S.) took their match easily, winning 8-0.

All COD singles players won in straight sets, including freshman Clayton Carlson (La Quinta H.S.) and freshman Javertt Hernandez (Cathedral City H.S.).

The next match for COD Men's Tennis is March 14th at El Camino at 2 p.m.
