COD Men’s Golf Secures 3rd Place Finish at OEC Finals, Advances to SoCal Regionals
The College of the Desert Men’s Golf team wrapped up an impressive 2025 regular season with a strong showing at the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Finals, earning 3rd place in the Conference and securing a coveted spot in the 3C2A SoCal Regional.
The College of the Desert Men's Golf team wrapped up an impressive 2025 regular season with a strong showing at the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Finals, earning 3rd place in the Conference and securing a coveted spot in the 3C2A SoCal Regional.
The Roadrunners sent six golfers to compete in their 14th event of the season, hosted at Costa Mesa Country Club's Los Lagos Course. The single-day, two-round tournament brought out the best in the region's competitors, and Desert rose to the challenge, finishing 2nd in the event with a team score of 727—10 strokes ahead of Cypress College. When all OEC events were totaled, the Roadrunners claimed 3rd place overall in the Conference.
Top Performers Lead the Charge
Freshman Sinjin Armstrong (La Quinta H.S.) and Phar Vincent (Xavier College Prep) both fired off 144 totals on the day, leading the team. Armstrong carded a 1-under 71 in round one—his second-lowest score of the season—and followed up with a 1-over 73 in round two. Vincent notched his season-low round with a 2-under 70 in round one and added a 2-over 74 in round two.
Freshman Mason Montgomery (Palm Desert H.S.) finished with a two-round total of 145 (72-73), earning a 4th place individual finish in the Conference and was the Roadrunners' top All-Conference honoree.
Sophomore Jacob Stacey (Twentynine Palms H.S.) tied his season-low with an even-par 72 in round one and added a 76 in round two for a total of 148, claiming the final All-Conference spot at 12th overall.
Freshman Linus Rindestad Utter (Fredrika Bremergymnasiet, Sweden) also earned All-Conference honors, improving from a 76 in round one to a 73 in round two for a 149 total.
Freshman Logan Marra (Palm Desert H.S.) capped the day with his second-lowest round of the season (75) and a personal-best 74 in round two, also finishing at 149.

What's Next?
The Roadrunners now turn their focus to the 3C2A Southern California Regional Finals, set for Sunday, May 4 at Los Serranos Golf Club in Chino.
