COD Men’s Golf: Schmitt named PCAC Athlete of the Week

COD Men's Golf freshman Matt Schmitt (Brawley H.S.) has been named as the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference's (PCAC) Male Athlete of the Week for the week of April 24-30. 

According to the release, issued by PCAC Sports Information Director, Tom Saxe, "Schmitt was the No. 1 golfer for COD's championship squad and had the second-best average in the PCAC over the course of the conference season, 74.3."

The Roadrunners were crowned as Champions of the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference at El Camino Country Club in Oceanside on April 24th. Schmitt fell just short of being named Conference MVP, but was added to the All-Conference team with a two-over 74 in the first round and a six-over 78 in the second round.
