COD Men’s Golf finishes second at Rancho Bernardo
COD Men's Golf freshman Matt Schmitt (Brawley H.S.) finished one stroke back of the leader as the Roadrunners grabbed a second place finish in their third Pacific Coast Athletic Conference event, hosted at the par-72 Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Course in San Diego.

All five PCAC schools participated in the tournament, which was won by Mt. San Jacinto.
Schmitt had one of his best outings of the season, shooting a one-over par 73. Freshman Vinny Vetrano (La Quinta H.S.) shot a three-over par 75, finishing tied for 4th and freshman Sam Berglund (Melbourne, Australia) nailed a four-over, 76, finishing fifth.
Shooting a 77 was sophomore Nicolas Beeken (Liège, Belgium), freshman Gauthier Adams (Liège, Belgium) shot an 84 and freshman Tyler Smith (Palm Desert H.S.) wrapped up the afternoon shooting an 82.
COD will make their next appearance at The Country Club at Soboba Springs in San Jacinto on Wednesday, March 15th as they continue Conference play.
