COD Men’s Basketball sophomore starting guard Weijie Zhang (Beijing, China) has signed a letter of intent with the San Diego Christian College.
COD Men's Basketball freshman guard Philippe Salawa (Fontana Azariel Blanchard Miller) was named honorable mention All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.
COD (1-22, 0-10) ended their 2018 season with a celebratory Sophomore Night, welcoming in the Palomar Comets (16-13, 6-4), but the home side fell, 106-77.
COD (1-21, 0-9) played a hard fought game, taking the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles (14-14, 6-3) into overtime on the back of 12 three-point baskets, but the game was lost on the boards as the Eagles had a 70-40 advantage over the Roadrunners and the home side fell, 90-83.
COD (1-19; 0-7) had four of five starters score in double figures, but freshman Andre Allen exploded for the largest individual point total of the season, dropping 40 points, including going 6 of 8 from 3-point range, but the Roadrunners fell just short of the upset of the Miramar Jets (18-7; 5-2), 99-93.
COD (1-15; 0-3) had their hands full with the number four team in the state, as they were down 52-25 at the break and fell to the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines (19-4; 3-0), 104-62.
Desert (1-13; 0-1) had their highest scoring game all season, as opened up PCAC-North play by staying close with a tough MiraCosta Spartans (6-11; 1-0), but a 19-7 run midway through the second half doomed the home side, as the Roadrunners fell, 96-90.
COD (1-12) played two excellent opponents, falling to Chaffey and Glendale in the Chaffey Tournament at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga.
Desert (1-10) broke their 15-game losing streak with only seven active players and all five starters scoring in double figures, as the Roadrunners knocked off the Imperial Valley Arabs (2-13), 92-88.
COD (0-10) whittled down an 8-point deficit at the half, building a 4-point lead halfway through the second half, sending the game into overtime, but an 8-2 run by the Rio Hondo Roadrunners (3-10) to close out the overtime doomed Desert, 92-85.
COD (0-9) took a six point lead at the half, holding a tough Santiago Canyon Hawks (13-3) team down, but a 10-4 run to close out the game by the Hawks doomed the home side as the Roadrunners fell, 87-77.
COD (0-8) tied the game at 66 with under two minutes left and with an opportunity to win the game at the buzzer, fell just short on a long three-point attempt as time expired, the Roadrunners fell to the Grossmont Griffins (9-3), 72-69.
COD (0-7) rising to the challenge of their opponents as they fell to San Diego City and Moorpark in the Grossmont Tournament at Grossmont College in El Cajon.
COD (0-4) faced tough opponents as they fell to Cypress and Moorpark at the Neil Edwards Classic at Citrus College in Glendora.
The Roadrunners hosted Copper Mountain, Glendale (AZ), West LA, Compton, Grossmont, Saddleback and fellow Pacific Coast Athletic Conference-North Division opponent San Bernardino Valley.
COD Men’s Basketball sophomore guard Kenny Lewis (Riverside Ramona) has signed a letter of intent with La Sierra University.
