COD Baseball sweeps past the Rams, 10-3
COD (22-13; 15-6) swept the season series and grabbed their 4th straight win, as the Roadrunners used a big 4th inning to sweep the season series over the Victor Valley Rams of Victorville (12-25; 8-13), 10-3.

Since 1992, the Roadrunners have a 79-16 overall record against Victor Valley, currently holding an 8-game winning streak over the Rams. Desert has a 38-9 record against the Rams in Palm Desert.
Freshman right-handed starting pitcher Caleb Ortiz (Indio Shadow Hills) grabbed his sixth start of the season and pitched brilliantly, tossing 7 complete and grabbing 5 strikeouts. Sophomore shortstop Michael Gonsalez (Harbor City Narbonne) collected his 12th multi-hit game of the season, going 2 for 4 with 2 runs batted in out of the leadoff spot. Freshman second baseman Isaac Rodrigues (Aiea (H.S.) HI) went 3 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI out of the 9-hole in the lineup, collecting his 13th multi-hit game of the season.
The next match-up for the Roadrunners will be at the Chaffey Panthers of Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday, April 17 at 2:30p. The next home game for Desert will be on Tuesday, April 22 at 2:30p, when the Roadrunners host the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines.
