COD Women’s Volleyball: Edgar signs letter with CSU East Bay

COD Women's Volleyball sophomore libero Kaylie Edgar (Palm Springs H.S.) has signed a letter of intent with Cal State East Bay.

Edgar was named first team all-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference. She finished 1st in conference and 13th in the state with a 5.41 digs per set average, she finished 1st in Conference and 19th in state with 427 digs and finished 4th in Conference with 36 service aces. Edgar had a season high 41 digs at home versus Mt. San Jacinto on November 8th and 35 digs at Imperial Valley on November 16th. She was also a first team all-Foothill Conference selection for the 2015 season.

The 2016 season was the fifth year for co-head coaches Marion Champion and Detlev Rothe as Desert ended the season with a record of 7-14 overall and 2-6 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference-North Division, finishing fourth.

California State University, East Bay is located in Hayward. The CSUEB Pioneers play in the Pioneer Gymnasium and the team is coached by 21 year veteran head coach, Jim Spagle. In the 2016 season, the Pioneers finished 9-9 in conference play ending the season in 4th place, with an overall record of 13-14. CSUEB is in the California Collegiate Athletic Association-North Division of NCAA Division Two.
