COD's #1 player, freshman Dimitrije Vukovic (Vancouver (BC) Morscrop Secondary) defeated the tournaments #13 seed, Shawn Morgan of Folsom Lake College, 6-3,6-3. He is now in the Round of 32 of the Singles Tournament.

The COD #1 doubles team of Vukovic and freshman Jakob Dvorken (Ridgewood, NJ) won two matches today. In the first round they defeated Michael Hanna / Bradon Morer of Riverside Community College 6-2, 6-2 and then defeated the # 6 seeded team of Alex Bychkoviak / Shawn Morgan of Folson Lake College 2-6, 6-3, 10-4. They are now in the round of 32 of the Doubles Tournament.

Unfortunately, COD's #2 player, Dvorken was defeated by Andy Vang of American River in the first round 6-2, 6-2

"The COD Men's Tennis Team had a very productive day today" states COD Men's Head Tennis Coach, Ken Thomas. "We won three tough matches and took out two highly ranked seeds. The COD Men's Tennis Program continues to move in the right direction. We need to quickly put this day behind us, and get ready for tomorrow. The boys are playing well and I am hoping we can continue our success into Day 2."
