COD Men’s Golf grabs 5th place at TPC Valencia

COD Men's Golf sophomore Marc Cohen (Livry Gargan, France) finished with his best round of the year, three strokes back of the leader, as the Roadrunners grabbed a fifth place finish non-Conference event, hosted at the par-72 Tournament Players Club Valencia.

Of the 12 schools that participated in this event, only one other PCAC school, Mt. San Jacinto, was in the event, which was won by the host, College of the Canyons with a team score of 373.

Cohen, participating in his second event of the 2017 season and first event since March 15th at San Jacinto, shooting a three-over par 75. Both sophomore Nicolas Beeken (Liège, Belgium) and freshman Steven Wang (Taipei, Taiwan) shot a four-over 76. Freshman Sam Berglund (Melbourne, Australia) shot an eight-over par 80.

Shooting an 85 was freshman Gauthier Adams (Liège, Belgium) and Freshman Matt Schmitt (Brawley H.S.) wrapping up the afternoon for the Roadrunners.

COD will make their next appearance at Desert Island Golf & Country Club in Rancho Mirage on Monday, April 10th as they continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play.
